For MOTORSPORT ART EXHIBITION, Ella was presented with a phenomenal challenge: to produce ten pieces of work for the exhibition in ten days. Her first day was spent within the majestic architecture of the Bahrain International Circuit where she began her challenge in front of the public and media, generating enormous enthusiasm for both the MOTORSPORT ART EXHIBITION and the 2006 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
GULF DAILY NEWS Wednesday 1, February 2006: Artist takes up F1 challenge. A Formula One challenge with a difference starts from today at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Sakhir. A Bahrain-born Indian artist, who has never painted anything with a motor sport theme before, is to begin a painting marathon with the aim of finishing 10 art works in 10 days, as part of a major exhibition.
Ella Prakash, of the Ella Art Gallery, is to begin painting at 10.30am today at the BIC and all are welcome to watch the artist as the mother-of-three take her first brush stroke to kick off the challenge.
Using every ounce of her creative energy and zeal, the collection is now complete and stands as a unique achievement within the Bahrain artistic community which can now be enjoyed by all. As well as her own work,Ella is particularly excited by the involvement of local children in the Motorsport Art Exhibition, allowing her to encourage the talent of the next generation of Bahrain artists.
